EVO Championship Series events are the premier destinations for fighting and action game fans around the world. Thousands of competitors from over 30 countries compete in our open tournament. Evo offers the best competition, featuring the greatest international players, from Kuwait and Korea to Japan, the US, and everywhere in between.

All tournaments at Evo Finals are open tournaments that do not require pre-qualification that you’ll see in other leagues. We believe in the value of competition; if you think you’ve got the skills, you are welcome to step up and try your luck against the best in the world.

2008 Game Lineup

The games for the 2008 tournament are an excellent mix of old-school 2D fighting and the latest 3D brawlers, with a twist thrown in for good measure. Stay tuned over the coming days as we announce the specific tournament games!

2008 Event

The 2008 EVO event is a crazy one. With a World Finals in Sin City: Las Vegas, Nevada, who can not be excited. All EVO events are open tournaments. Beyond testing your skills and playing against the top players in the world, part of the fun of EVO is meeting new gamers that share your passion and watching with a crowd of excited fans as the best of the best slug it out for the championship.

August 8-10, 2008
Location: Las Vegas, NV

The big one. International champions from across the globe will come together again for the greatest tradition in all of fighting games. Las Vegas, Nevada will host the fight for the titles on the EVO 2008 games. Remember: this is an open tournament! Everyone is invited to compete in this monster event. In addition to established champions, lots of great players will be looking for revenge from last year, so expect the competition to be fierce!
