Tournament FAQ

What is Evo?

Evo is a series of multi-day, hardcore gaming festivals attended by thousands of people competing on the hottest fighting and action games. Pro gamers from around the world have competed in Evo tournaments for games like Tekken, Street Fighter, and Guilty Gear.

What is there to do at Evo?

Why, play lots of fighting games of course! Evo tournaments are the biggest and best of their kind, attracting gamers from across the globe, featuring major contingents from the US, Europe, Korea, and Japan.

If tournaments aren't your thing, there's also our BYOC (bring your own console) lounge, where you can socialize with other gaming fanatics and play any game you like. It's just like your couch at home, if your couch was big enough to fit thousands of other gaming nuts.

Oh yeah, then there are the exhibitors in the BYOC. This is your chance to check out the latest games and gear before they're released.

The top players from our sanctioned qualifying tournaments will receive top seeds in the World Finals at Las Vegas, an open tournament to crown the world champions in the Evo tournament games.

About how many people come to Evo?

Evo 2007 was attended by over four thousand gamers and spectators. Lots of these people played in the tournaments, but many came just for a great gaming experience and to hang out with other gamers.
